I was looking at my rail pressures today, desired vs. actual.......

needless to say it was pretty bad. I dont really have much $$$ but I was thinking that SuperDiesels setup looks pretty good, and at a decent price. I really want a MITUSA but even with the "homey hookup" it is still out of my price range. Any Input? -Jeff

Jeff...I also think that the SD setup looks good and affordable...Go to the tuning section and read the thread started by sweetdiesel titled "it was the lift pumps"...I made an attempt at describing how I plan on doing mine for about $150...Chris

If I was doing things over now, I would get the Super Diesel pumps. The Edelbrock is such a hassle rounding up all the parts, and then getting it to fit. With the Super Diesel kit, you get everything you need in one neat little package. And when all is said and done, it really isn't much more. (If I figured in $3 per hour for all the running around I did on top of all the fuel I went through, the Super Diesel kits would be cheaper.)

Just my 2-cents on the Carter pumps. We used to run these pumps on our Air-boats as an actual Lift-pump . And I have not had one that lasts over a year or so.Maybe my bad luck who knows, but I would not run a Carter pump on my truck.S.D's set up is nice, with a diff. pump. If you get Trippins pick-up it makes things alot easier. Then the only real money you'll have out is the pump. Ace harware had everything I needed. I tied into my factory hard line using a 1/2 inch compression fitting. Works flawlessly.

We are now running Edelbrock 1792's on all 3 trucks. We know the trucks will still run if they die. When the Carter was in Blue and it died is left me stranded in the middle of the street at 10 pm with the kids in the truck:mad:

My point excaxtly Kat. My truck runs just fine with the Edelbrock Pump off around town. If you run a Carter you better carry some extra fuel line , fittings, and tools to get home.
