Lift- Pump takin a Poop..

I think my lift pump is taking a poop, It's not sounding to good, I got my truck back yesturday at 3pm had to fix an exhaust leak, some hose clamps left off, and oh yeah my banks wastegate control was hooked back up with the wastegate open all the time.Talk about a turd driving home from the dealer, I'm like WTF is wrong..But anyway, got it fixed, loaded my files in and off i go to the track. At the end of the run i looked at my fuel pres gauge and it's only got like 1 or 2 psi. I looked back at the log and the fuel rail was down to 20K at the end of the run. I'm thinking this has to be my lift pump. Any thoughts? It did run a 12.9 @102 #2 with 24psi of boost (need to adjust)..

Either a dirty filter or bad pump.

They do fail.

Pat is right but i beilve it may be a dirty filter. If it is the lift pump your pressure on the rail would be alot lower then 20 psi. Check the filter

It's not the filter just changed it about 1 or 2K ago..And when the filter is getting clogged the fuel psi will start dropping on the gauge at idle..right now it's at 12 to 13 psi which is as high as i can get it anymore, it used to peg 15..Any one know the warranty on those pumps?? I know about the diesel voiding warranty, i'll soak it in gas..

lb7 i am talking about the filter on the pump its self not your fuel filter
