I was readin in another thread that people are puttin there lift pumps on on/off swicths. I was wonderin if you could use the swicth on ppe pumps, i am pretty sure they are flow threw. I was wonderin tho how hard is it on the cp3 to suck fuel threw the lift pump. I am sure this would help the life of the lift pump but do not want to burn up the cp3. Thanks Brian

I just have a switch for when I want/need to leave the key on. Otherwise I run it all the time. Truck gets better mileage with it running. Also it depends where the PPE pump stops as to how much fuel will flow thru when off.

I run mine off a pressure switch to come on at 10 PSI of boost. At our high elevation the trucks seem tp load up on the bottom side with pump always on. From aroll the trucks seem to respond a little better also. Habe to run a bypass around the pump though. I remember dan saying the PPE will only let the truck run at about 40% with it flowing through the pump.

Yeah i figure the cp3 would have to work harder pullin the fuel threw the lift pump. Thats a good idea tho. I think i going to leave mine alone for now.

I could run mine up to about 75% throttle for about 7-10 seconds before it would code (P0087). I made a bypass setup, and it cured the problem all together. Mine is on a switch and is off unless Im racing.
