Well my truck went thru another ppe lift pump, this is my 4th pump in 3 years, everything is wired correctly, as soon as the weather starts getting cold my lift pumps go out on me, i had a backup pump and i installed it and this is probably my last ppe lift pump i am gonna install on my truck, so after this one goes i am gonna purchase a different brand, can you please help me with my new choice of pump, thanks.

I would say A.D. 150 or whatever the latest and greatest Airdog is, I forget the newest model available. My 150 has been going strong for the last 2 years driving in 0 degree weather with all the salt and grime in N.Y. all winter long.

Fuelab is the next one I am getting-pending test results with Abby this summer.

Otherwise my KD pump has worked awesome and is whisper quiet.

Another vote for AirDog - have installed dozens and sold dozens more with no problems. They are really quite compared to the PPE and the older FASS units - I've been told the newer FASS's are quieter but haven't heard one in person to know. AirDog also has lifetime warranty and is the original design, FASS is the son's rip-off where he changed just enough to not get busted for patent infringement, part of that hurting it's ability to separate air - and the FASS is more expensive.

Not sure about how often to change the filters but I am going to have it be on my list when I do my regular fuel filter. I havent had any problems with my AD150, and as stated above, very quiet to.
