No pre filter. We have EDELBROCK 1792 on all three trucks. Will replace with the PPE Model if one happens to fail.

I run a NAPA pre filter with a bypass around a PPE lift pump so i can turn it off except for when i need to roll some serious coal. I can take pics if you want. I really really like it, I used to have a 1792 without a bypass and it crapped out and my truck would barely move. The PPE is kickass, no need for dual pumps. :D

alright heres my setup. i did it at my buddies bigrig shop and they had all the fittings and hose and i didnt have to pay for them so i went this route, but the hands down cleanest way is to do what Russ did on his truck. His name on here is RPM Motorsports I think, but his is in the hardline and I didnt want to cut my fuel lines, but his is awesome and he has part #'s if you want to put it in the hard line.
edit: sorry the pictures are so huge my computer is a nazi and wouldnt let me resize, and thats a moroso 1/2" check valve you can get from summitracing it works well

Thanks for the pics. Did you take the fuel from before the fuel cooler run it threw the pump and the filter them threw the cooler and to the engine. Where is the check valve. Do you need the check valve.

The whole setup is before the fuel cooler. The fuel line comes straight off the tank, then to the pre filter, then to the pump and bypass and then into the line.

What all pumps can you not here while the engine is running. I don't want one to sound like my old Z71 with the well known whine stock. I want a good weather pump with built in bypass and I'll have the DIY filter afterwards too along with a billet pickup in tank. Thank's,Adam

The PPE and FASS are both really loud. My truck is straight piped so you cant hear much of anything while its running:D

Guess I'm getting a TTS dual pump setup then. I know I know. I'd rather pay less for the same thing than a couple hundred more for something dressed up a little fancier. Not to hijack the thread.

Ive had 3 friends that have had tts pumps fail completely. They are supposedly flow through but one of our buddies got stranded cos they crapped out. It took him quite a few months to get his money back as well. A PPE pump is way cheaper, not to cheerlead but theres a lot less crap to break on it and it will move more fuel than youll ever need.

Napa pre-filter and Kennedy dual pumps. 2 years no issues. Super quiet. My bother has a raptor though and I think if I did it again I'd get the Raptor or complete Air Dog. A little louder than my setup but not near his old Fass can opener. We're using a complete Air Dog 150 on the puller.

I heard there was a problem with their fittings or something like that? Any truth to this?

Just buy your own pumps http://www.lainginc.com/ click on DC pumps on the left column, you have to contact them on where to buy but they were around $100 a pump

Been running the AIRDOG-150 for the past few months and am very impressed thus far. I can not hear it running once the truck has started and its a complet kit so there is no guess work. A couple of people were having problems with a fitting missing but mine had 4 to many. The quality control has gotten better since I am told.
