I know most on here are against lifting the trucks. I live in Wyo & use the LB7 as a daily driver & a hunting rig. The damn thing gets stuck on the frame real easy out in the hills riding on pyo 245's. I have decided its time to lift it a bit & add some larger tires. What lift kit tire combo would get me a little clearance, a decent ride and still hold up to sled pulling, drag racing? My lmm runs a procomp 6" lift with 35's and seems okay other than rides like a dump truck. I wouldn't go any larger than 35's and maybe even 33's. Let's hear some input:confused:

Tough country has a 4in lift many people use and would fit 33s, and it handles sled pulling also. It all depends on how much u wanna spend. Bds, cognito, are a few more that make 4in. U could always buy another 6in lift, turn bars all the way down, run a 3-4in block in rear or 4in springs and run 33s and the truck woukd be around 4-5in and ride like a dream. Never been in a lifted truck that rode like crap to be honest. Most the time its an improved ride. U get more travel and have more side wall to absorb bumps.

So, thats two votes for tough country, it seems.

Why, cost?

I am putting together quite a package, so to speak, of a lift kit.
Here is how im going bout it:

Cognito 4" ntbd lift
C/V front drive line and bracket
Deaver mini packs for the rear leafs for a 2"bump
Yukon 4.56 gears front and back;)
Eaton Detroit trutrac for the rear diff, cuz i toasted the g-80

35x12.5 pro-comp x all terrain

Thats my lift package, i think its legit, if not a little over the top.

So is Tuff Country and Tough Country the same company? I have seen both and didn't know if they were different companies? I am really liking the idea of the Tough Country lift with 4" to run 33's. Do they ride okay?

I have the one piece subframe Tuff Country. Have had it on for a few years and just helped my buddy put one on his truck. Geometry is good, parts fit great, rides nice and its inexpensive

Zone. You will not beat the price or quality. Just google duramax and zone and you get the idea how many people run the kit. And love it

Cool Thanks, is that the part # 14696? Also is there any supporting vendors on here that sell a Tuff Country 4" lift for an 2002 HD2500?:thumb:
