Finally after quite some time of trying to find a donor for the lift kit and we found it. He is dantheman on here. He lives in Frenso so we drove up to get it off. Great people, and they have a little mini shop in the back. So, they had all the parts off his truck when we got there, adn we watched them take the parts off of ours. First off all, since this is their house, what kind of mechanic shop lets you go swimming, and ride a dirt bike while you wait. Very minimal welding involved, so it was very easy. Too bad we couldn't give them rides. When they let the truck down, it was actually lower than I thought it would be. I put it in level 10 to check it out. So we stayed at a nice hotel after that, and there was a felony cop bust across from the hotel, more on that later. We took it up through the curvy roads of Kings Canyon and Sequoiya national parts, and it perform very well. Also a few bursts on the freeway to 100, and it came a lot faster than before, and that was with 400 extra pounds in the truck. So we gave some friends a ride when we got home and OMG , I was almost scared, it got sideways so easily . I hope for a low 12 one day. Also, we have the old tires and rims, and we will mount proxes on the old rims. So back to the felony bust, sorry, off topic. We were taking a walk outsides, and I saw cops, sure enough they had their guns pointed at one guy telling him to get on the ground, and in the end 14 cop cars had come, and a helicopter, BUT the guy was innocent so they went through all that and let him go. Oh, the guy will email me pictures from when the truck was apart, and I will post them up

Nice Dieselson. Now I'm really keen to get mine back on the road after the lowering job is finished - hopefully by 2 more weeks - maybe I'll see 12's too???:)

I disagree, when I was hunting in montana there were a couple places that my truck may very well still be at if it wasnt lifted.....

Now am I going to lift my next one? No, but I dont plan on getting rid of this one either, its going to retire as my huntin truck when I can afford a new one!!! -Jeff

No different then loud music, rap music, lowered vehicles (Of any kind!) 20+" wheels, taxes, Government, and thousands of other things in life. That is what makes the world go round. I think motorcycles are one of the stupidest things to be had, but I'm not going to bitch and belly ache if you like them.

I have to agree with Jeff! I HAVE been hung up on my frame more than once and its no fun to dig out under a frame with a 6,000 lb truck on top of it wether its mud or just snow!

I dont have a lift kit on yet, but I have one sitting in the shop waiting to be put on as soon as I get the truck up and going.

After the last time I was stuck, I swore I was going to get an E-Locker so it wouldnt happen again....now those are tough to find!
