i recently did a six inch super lift in my truck and after doing the lift i had to replace my transfer case due to the pump rub problem now that there is a new tcase in the truck im thinking about having the driveshaft lengthened to make it run correctly im wondering if anyone might no how much i need added or anywhere i might be able to get a driveshaft made.

Idk the proper way to figure out how much longer it needs to be. But there should be a spot on the ds that is still clean from where it used to ride and now the spot will be I'll just say an inch further out. So just measure from the shiny spot to the rear seal surface and that will tell you how much it pulled out of the tcase.

that looks to be a little less than two inches which doesnt leave much thats why i wanted to lengthen it the part im not sure on is i lifted the truck 6 inches there is 5 inch blocks in the rear and im assuming i wouldn't want to lengthen the drive shaft more than the 5 but i honestly dnt no enough about how this works

I have a 7" bds lift. With rear leaf springs.
I ended up putting 2" blocks on the rear and lengthend the driveshaft 1 1/2 inches forgot what they lengthend the front Ds.After that it has been perfect.

my biggest worry is that the yoke is sitting too close to level because it was all block in the rear 5 inches... so lengthening the shaft an inch and a half was enough of an improvement i guess my next question is were ur lift springs drastically tapered? maybe ill replace the blocks with lift springs if it is worth saving another head ache in the long run

They are tapered.Bds told me I didn't need to extend the DS not sure why.I had too.Never made sense to to me why you wouldn't.
I have had a lot of lifted trucks. And had to lengthed all the ds.
If I were you I would do springs if you tow or haul. Better ride.IMO.
Blocks do have a slight taper.Might have to use a shim if you keep the blocks.
