Allison 5sp: leaking out drain plug next to filter???

i was haveing problems today with the battery not charging when i figure out that the tranny is leaking stead while running...what could this be? pump seal? help!!!

it should be the main pressure test port , but without a picture of the leak it hard to say , if the plug is tight hopefully there is not a problem with the case . get us a picture so we can help out .

hey guys, were pulling the tranny out cause it seems to not be that and i was told buy the guy who is head manager that the plant over here that it is the bolt holding the torque converter has a o ring that is leaking so thanks for your help...ill let you know how it goes.. i would like to put in sun coast IV in it while it is out but..the money is not there lol for me

Bolt holding the torque converter to what? The only bolts I know of that go to the torque converter are flywheel bolts, and they don't go into anything where fluid could leak. Are you maybe talking about the pump bolts? They don't have an O-ring, but a couple of them do have a copper washer. Are you sure it isn't that plug? I wouldn't pull the transmission if I wasn't 100% sure it was something inside the bellhousing leaking.

Actually, the bellhousing to oil pump assembly bolts (10 total) DO have O-Rings....

I guess that's what I get for going from memory. I was thinking about the bellhousing to case bolts. Sorry about that.
