I'm pissed that was so difficult to put in, now it's leaking. Low boost numbers and a whistle. Instructions say no gasket. How is everyone fixing this to hold boost?

There is a gasket already in there that stays against the exhaust side I believe. I don't remember for sure which side though. Make sure you didn't put the plate in backwards. You should be able to tell by the soot marks when you take it out. If they don't make a complete oval you either had it in the wrong way or didn't have it all the way in. I've make the backwards mistake(because the tabs faced different directions depending on who made the plate) before and couldn't figure out what went wrong until I pulled the plate and flipped it around.

thanks, this is in correctly, with the stainless gasket on the exhaust side. Its leaking boost through the intake side. Truck fell on its face the first time i got on it.. Im looking for some high temp gasket material that would take the pressures to put on the intake side..

If you really think you have to have one I would suggest buying another steel gasket like the one already in there to place on both sides of the plate.

Considering how many plates have been installed without any extra gasket material I still think you have an issue with the bolts not being tight enough or the plate not completely pushed in all the way. You really shouldn't need an extra gasket.
