I believe I have a leak from this pipe at the connection, any idea on how to tighten this or aftermarket parts for sell to fix it. Also I'm not sure what you call this pipe, I'm pretty sure it goes from egr to intercooler. I cleaned alot of soot buildup from around it, is why I think it has a leak

There normally will be oily stuff around the connection. Take the intake off the turbo and cap it and pressurize it. That’ll tell you if you have a leak.

The black plastic pipe is the cold side charge air cooler pipe. It goes from intercooler to intake. It seals using an o-ring.

The EGR cooler is under the intake pipe running parallel to the exhaust manifold it ties to the intake behind the alternator.

Grid Heater is the rectangular thing with the green plug and red wire going into it.

Sorry I read thru the post really fast and saw your name and assumed it was a 08. Even with that buy the egr delete. The crap the egr puts in a motor is insane.

TX of course
Soot and oil there is normal. Are you hand checking your mileage? The truck mileage reading is wrong most of the time. 12mpg driving in the city with idling to warm up and winter fuel doesn't sound that bad.

You can always block it and put a "Finger Stick" on it. They are available online from https://www.kennedydiesel.com/detail.cfm?ID=525 and it alters the MAF reading to make the computer think that it is using EGR gases even though its not. You leave everything in tact, just install a solid no hole stainless "gasket" plate between the up pipe EGR flange and the cooler.
