Check the hot side tube to the IC and see if it is wearing through the battery cables. Mine was about 1/2 way through the +/- cable covers with only 40K mi. The front exhaust manifold stud was also working it's way through the tube. I removed the tube to make a 3" tube, since I have blown the stock unit off three times, and damaged it.

So you LBZ guys have the same issues we LB7 guys have with the IC tubes rubbing through? It does get tight down there.

Better have the LLY guys check their IC tubes while we're at it.

Problem solved! I finished up the 3" hot side. I've got plenty of space now, and was able to ditch a few bends. Im not sure if I want to polish it, or leave the welds as is. I would like to thank Nathan (MPI), for sending me the right direction, when I was looking for a bead roller. It was able to tackle .065 316L stainless without a problem (Bead Form HD II).
BTW- Jordan, this was done with your new welder;).

That looks great Russ... I wonder how weird my truck will look with a powder coated boost tube and a SS driver side LOL
