Lbz to lly conversion no start

Ok my buddy took a lbz motor out of his truck and replaced the motor with an lly. He keeps getting a crank position code. All the the upper intake stuff was swapped to the lbz on the lly motor, but now we have a no start since the swap. Ive read that you cant swap the lbz injectors to the lly heads, ive read about reluctor wheels issue?? so basically what im getting at has anyone went lbz to lly why we have both trucks so parts are available.......any advice appreciated.

Why would he take lbz out for a lly? Something wrong with original motor?

Cracked piston on the lbz and the lly was a wrecked truck, thought it was gonna be no big deal........guess not......lol

No we havent yet. If we do that will the lly injectors run on the lbz ecm??

I can't say for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does.

Is the reluctor wheel a massive job looks like it might be a chore to do in the vehicle......

Pull the core support and change the reluctor, the Tooth count is different. 58 vs 57 tooth.

I have my doubts... The LBZ injectors fire off either 12 or 24v (not sure which). The LLY injectors fire off 48v. and they flow differently, so you'd need to retune the truck for the injectors IF you got them to work.

Weelllllll it runs fine till 2000 rpm then no more........gonna put the solus pro on it and see what the malfunction is........feels like no turbo at all

One of my trucks doesnt run lly injectors with the lbz ecm keep us posted ob results bud

Ok I got with mike the owner of the max. We are running the lly bottom end crank pistons, and injectors. The lbz reluctor wheel and heads intake turbo and everything else on the truck is lbz. It also has an air dog fuel pump setup on it with an edge evolution programmer I believe. Hope this helps ya guys out some.....
