Truck was recently involved in an accident. Truck rolled on it's side and ran for ~20-30seconds.
Since truck was fixed and given back to me have noticed a pretty noticable "tick" coming stright through the driver side firewall. This tick has gotten much worse since I recently installed a BD manfiold, which i find very odd.
Truck has almost 5000km's on it since the accident.
I do not believe there are any bent push rods or anything because the engine runs very smooth. Just this tick will not go away. I have checked over the injectors thinking i had a bad one but they seem fine.
The ticking seemed to go away when the truck got warm before the manifold was done and now it seems to do it all the time.
The exhaust manifold got both brand new gaskets and their are no exhaust leaks.
I'm starting to think for whatever reason the exhaust manifold has amplified the sound through the firewall. I have to have the stereo turned up quite a bit to not hear it anymore. Does it warm or cold.
Any thoughts at all? I'm debating in whether in rip off the driver side valve cover or not and take a peak at all the rockers, and push rods. It almost sounds as if the valve set is way out on a specific hole.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank-you!
