Anyone know the approximate weight of a D-Max shortblock. Bare block with crank, cam, and gears installed, plus the balancer and flexplate. Trying to estimate a shipping weight.

650? I know theres an extensive thread here on weight, youd have to search. I remember some were saying a longblock dressed was 900, some were saying 1100.

long block with no turbo,flexplate,or adaptor plate, or any fuel system parts weighs 720
short block empty is 380

880 full dressed? turbo and all? If so, that's a lot lighter than I would have ventured to guess.
Your looking at around 450 for the block, cam and crank.I can weight the block I have in the garage if needed, Crank is about 75 and that might be on the heavy side.
yea you gotta think they have aluminum heads verus cast so thats a big weight saver
Put her on the scale with crank and cam too see what it is.....hopefully not a bathroom scale!! LOL
