Looks like I need to bug out. No stepping on toes here. I don't think anything was meant by comments made, just opinions. I can't help if it's not personal use or for research. Sorry for the PM. Thanks

yes it is.

This should have been stated in your first post. Most people here are very generous but still don't like their work being sold. If they wanted people to pay for it they would prob sell it theirself. JMO

I guess this entire topic has taken a step on to the wrong page. I thought by coming here and being open with a project I am working on (for pay or not) and looking for a little advice and not a hand me out, things would be different. Possibly, I have mis-stated myself about coming here with a tune for ideas on getting the turbo to light up better. I am not asking for someone to rewrite my tune, that’s low in my book. Just ideas on what others have done to get the turbo to light up and if my tune was something similar or way off.
I have not taken any of the post in offense if it seemed that way; I just like to have facts or ideas to support a claim.
I will thank every one for their reply and if someone has an idea willing to share I would be more than happy to discuss the ideas, good, bad or indifferent, after all isn’t that what a forum is for?

B2206 Looks like a stock turbo killer to me. What kind of boost do you see with this tune?? Your asking for 49.75 lbs (343kPa)

Is that bad? 49.75 psia. To get a gauge reading at sea level. 49.75 - 14.7 35.05 psi on a gauge calibrated at sea level. I've run higher but like the gauge reading 34 to 38.

Thanks

If thats the case then why have I made 32-34lbs with only 290kPa commanded in that table? Why would you need to go that high? 340 + +

That's actually a stock high altitude boost table that I rescaled for low altitude, so the pressure ratio is still within what the stock tune would put the turbo through (I'm assuming that GM wouldn't make a boost table that was outside the map of the turbo). The peak boost is at a lower RPM where there would be less flow (2400), and it is right at 35 psig. The boost at 3000 RPM would be 32 psi on a gauge. Those numbers are at sea level though. Peak at medium altitude is only 28 psi and 26 at 3000 RPM.

The tune Pat made for Wendy has much less than that and made 542rwhp so why is it needed? Are there LBZ's out there putting up bigger numbers than this?

So basically you just don't like my boost tables? That's all I wanted to know. Thanks.

To make 534rwhp :D

"Are there LBZ's out there putting up bigger numbers than this?"

Yes

Wendy makes 542rwhp at Westech Performance (where all the car magazines go) and has run 12.65 @ 105.xx in front of a few thousand folk with no weight reduction. CC/SB, 275's, nerf bars, all options. Not a "fast" track either. It has run 12.89 at LACR which was one of the slower tracks in the US.

Not the fastest, or the most claimed HP, but certainly has a bunch of witnesses to any claim we make. Zero hidden mods. Everything has been publically posted. No CP3, turbo, weight, injector, internal, or other hidden mods.

We actually race and dyno our trucks, and never claim other trucks.

There are at least two dozen trucks running the Wendy tune and running 12 second ET's that I'm personally aware of, perhaps more that I don't know.

Just wait until we run "hidden" mods... :D

Wow, you know how to make a person feel like a piece of work.

Your 100% correct. All the magazines hang out there. Unless we want on the cover of " Concho Valley Agriculture " magazine and have plowed a field faster than any tractor with our Duramax's, it's likely that will not happen. Thousands of people witnessed your run, we're lucky to get a handful of witnesses and only a few of those will remember past the beer they had in their hand. Unfortunately for use, we don't have such prestigious rewards and certifications. Uncle bob is our certification. Any other claims made by me or most anyone else must be shot down because of one reason or the other, some distance and " Railroad tracks ".

For future clarification, is this the wendy tune in the library your saying achieved this number?

My Uncle Bob crews when we take our primered car out, don't think it's the same guy:confused:

I believe it is, along with the "2nd gear launch/no TQ management/Chris doesn't know squat TCM tune";)

Oh, and some Gale Banks junk too...

Yup, we use our trucks as test beds to build and test race stuff for our friends and customers. Heck, even our competitors! :D

Don't get your panties in twist, I'm simply putting out a fact sheet for Wendy as it applies to LBZ tuning.

But it isn't just an ECM that makes Wendy the quickest "tuned" Dmax in our area, it's:

1) Team Salad - I rely on our friends to help all of us go faster.
2) A Hot Rod Wife - Kat helps us go faster, instead of hindering.
3) A Mike L Trans - All the power in the world does nothing if you can't put it down to the ground.
Last by not least:
4) Seat Time - Nothing can replace practice and experience.
