LBZ loose valve body bolt or clogged filter?

So for the last 5k miles or so i've been dealing with a rough shift and what seemed like a slipping converter. I was planning on doing a LML converter swap in the next month or 2 but figured if my converter was slipping it would be putting little pieces of metal in my fluid so i figured i should change my internal filter and fluid. What i thought was a little weird was my fluid never smelt burnt or was discolored nor did my transmission ever get hot. when i dropped my trans pan and filter one of my valve body bolts just fell out into the drain bucket. like it was just sitting not threaded at all in between the filter and valve body.
I changed fluid and filters torqued the valve body bolt back down and put it back together. It not shifts like a new truck. Nice smooth shifts, converter no longer slips and it drives like a completely different truck. I even hauled a 26ft gooseneck with 11 full grown cows and a full grown show bull, cattle and bull weighed around 13-14k plus the 4k lb trailer. Hauled it 50 miles through some pretty steep hills in my tow tune and experienced no converter slip.
So my question is, could my loose/ missing valve body bolt have been causing my converter to slip or could my internal filter have been clogged enough to lower line pressure. I cut my old filter open after i removed it at 120k and was happy with how it looked. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

if you didn't find anything abnormal in the pan or filter I would have to say the loose bolt was causing a pressure loss
