lbz/lmm stream question

Ok I'm about to get another stream license..but what I'm wondering is my scan tool will hold up to 225 vins...I'm actually on my second scan tool because I broke the other one, but with or without the stream, is it that once i get to 225 vins I will be having to buy another scan tool? Or can this one be refreshed or something? It doesn't really matter, but for the sake of curiosity I'm asking. Thanks!

Just got a message from Andew, stream does not count against the v2..so you can have as many as you want without filling up the v2 with the desired stream.

Just out of curiosity, why are you buying the stream? I thought about it until I saw how much it costs and that it is only good for one type of ECM. Would have been over $10k to be able to tune all different Duramax ECMs and TCMs. I'll just stick with buying one license at a time. I don't think I have much danger of exceeding 225.

What is a stream? Is that a bulk package of licenses or something?

Stream licenses allow unlimited tuning for specific engine and/or transmission controllers.

LBZ/LMM = Price: US$1,995.00

With the The VIN Rebate Program after 13 licenses you would have 50% of the Stream license paid for at that point it may be something to look at for users that tune for other people.

With the vin rebate it will cost me 965 for lbz/lmm stream, between my 2 scan tools I have tuned 200+ trucks around here with simple mileage tunes/dpf deletes..this is including the local lmm ambulances and a could of smaller fleets and casino trucks...lol!!! So I should if got one a long

And just to say, there isn't nothing much cooler than hearing the ambulances around here rocking a dpf delete!! I'm from a small middle of no where town so the way the "turbo sounds" on the ambulances is kinda the talk. Lol!

That's cool that you've got to do little tunes for the local ambulance crews and stuff. Exactly why I can't wait to move back to a small town

That's cool about the rebate thing. Too bad you can't get more than 50% off. I didn't realize that the stream for the LBZ would also do the LMM. I probably should have bought it.

Yeah Josh, without the rebate it wouldn't work for me..I have 80 or so vins on this scantool and can only trade in 13 on the stream but hey, I'm thankful they do that for us..I think it will pay off

I just don't do that many. I would feel better if I had a steady stream of people wanting me to tune their truck, but I just tune for people that I know or friends of friends. I only have 17 licenses on my V2.

Well you more than likely do more mail order tunes than anything it seems, I've only heard good about you from some pretty reputable names so I'm sure there are people out there running some joshH tuning!
