a full lbz and tranny with ecm and tcm then pretty much plug and play. You will need to run some wires for the tranny and a few other things, but the hardest part will be getting the complete engine and trans with ecm and tcm....well maybe not hard, just expensive ;)

Why do I keep doing this?

Not into an 01, its not. Electrical architecture is different 01-to-06. I think Russ may have done one, but it wasnt easy.

I looking at doing just a engine swap.
LBZ also needs the 6spd, all its wiring and computers, and pedal/column/cluster and associated harnesses from the donor for a swap.

All the above is wrong for 01-02 trucks..

01-02 require a donor truck for all the electronics if you want a true LBZ/6spd. LLY requires a bunch of tuning, a few wire and mechanical changes. I can provide DSP tuning for the LLY swap using the lb7 controls, but the ECM will be locked.

What all would be needed to run lly or Lbz heads on a lb7, if you can? Sorry don't mean to steal OP thread.

I swapped a lbz into my racetruck but used complete wiring from donor truck. Every wire in the truck got replaced with the lbz wiring. Also swapped interiors. This made it pretty easy but time consuming
