LBZ: LBZ intermittant Check Engine Light

I would appreciate any opinions. 2006 2500HD LBZ. I purchased the truck 2 weeks ago and am new to the Duramax platform. I have had 3 instances of the check engine light in 2 weeks. It comes on, typically stays on for 30 minutes run time, goes back off. I've not had the codes pulled yet.

Are there "typical" issues on the Duramax that are the usual suspects on a check engine light? Sensors to check, etc?

Might need an EGR value cleaning, but wanted to see what other culprits might be lurking under the hood.

Opinions welcome, good opinions particularly valued!

Has only come on when cranking, never while running. Pretty small sample size though.

Yep, agree on pulling the codes (but haven't yet found a trusted Duramax guy). Seems you can't throw a rock without hitting a good Ford PSD guy, Duramax folks are fewer/farer between, in my part of the country.

Most auto parts stores can check codes for you for free.

ok, pulled codes. P2563 and P003A. Looks like stuck vanes. I pulled other threads on these....looks like a turbo cleaning at a minimum.
