Either 1 if you use the lbz fpr you will need to adjust the voltage to the pump if you use the lb7 fpr on the lbz pump your good to go i replaced a pump in an 01 with an lbz and used the lb7 fpr and it ran great no issuses at all

I was just wondering about that because I put an lbz one in the lb7 today but having trouble hooking the connector up because the lbz fpr 90's up and toward a fuel line instead of straight out like an lb7. Curious as to what people do to get around this? Do I need to bend the line or reclock the fpr ?lol

remove the 17mm fuel fitting bolt. File down the end of the plastic conector down. Install on the FPRV. reinstall 17mm bolt with copper seals. Prime fuel filter housing if u dont have a lift pump. It wont start

A word on putting a LB7 regulator on a LBZ pump. This is the way I set mine up. However, if using a LBZ reg (as was stated) it will need to be rescaled via EFI Live. If using a LB7 reg, it will need to be modded to take advantage of the full pump capabilities (as is the same for the LB7 & LLY pumps). The LB7 reg is the most restrictive of ALL the regulators (found this out from when I first started doing them and the LLYs in 05). It WILL limit the pumps output capabilities. Not by a huge margin, but you will be leaving some on the table. I do still mod these and diamond polish the slides inside the reg for folks needing it done. It's a good thing to have done to any reg though because it can react faster with this mirror smooth slick finish and the galling that some times makes them fail is greatly reduced because of this finish. The modding helps bring in the pressure quicker and spool time is also reduced with it (first things I noticed with them). The modded LB7 will flow more than the pump can put through it.

I know its posted elsewhere but what is the gain with the LBZ pump compared to LB7? I'm shopping for more fuel.

I've always been told its about 10-15%...whether that is a true statement or not is beyond me. But it seems logical.

I know I've ran 27k rail pressure on my LB7 with just a LBZ reg.

There pretty close to the same with a slight advantage going to the LBZ/LMM (very minor though). It has a different way that the radial pistons push out the compressed fuel from there compression chambers (and the chamber dimensions are slightly different). The suction pump on the back of the LBZ/LMM cp3 is also matched up better with the pump which helps. The stock LBZ/LMM regulator will flow more fuel through it than a unmodded LB7 regulator. I've run both on the truck with the same tuning and full mods (to make sure it was a fair contest for the LB7/LLY cp3) so there was no restrictions to limit each. If using a off the shelf LB7 cp3 compared to the off the shelf LBZ/LMM cp3, the advantage is greater.
