lbz cp3 and fpr in a lb7

i just purchased efi live and am having trouble tuneing the idle with the lbz cp3 and regulator. this damn thing lopes like a drag car when i start it up in the cold weather here in michigan:( i didnt have this issue before when i had a pre programmed ecm from ridgerunner diesel(he tuned it out for me) any ideas or if someone has a tune they can send me to get rid of the lope and surge? thanks in advance

I have the same set up, and had the same issue. my LB7 FPR was no good. ever since I put in a wicked diesel fpr -a smooth 600rpm idle

X2 go to table 1010 therse are values that have been used, the truck still as a bit of a lope, but not to bad, just play around until you get it smooth

LBZ reg flows more fuel at idle than a LLY reg. An LLY reg flows more fuel at idle than an LB7 reg at idle. This is the reason for the high rail pressure at idle when doing these swaps. The only way around this is programming change if you were previously running a LB7 or LLY reg and now going to the LBZ reg. Same goes with running a LLY reg in a truck recently running a LB7 reg. The LB7 regs can easily be moded to run as much fuel as any other moded reg out there. However on the bottom (idle pressure) needs to stay the same which is easily maintained (no program change needed).

On edit: The LB7 regs are by far the most restrictive out of all.

i understand all of this- i swapped in the the new lbz pump and regulator, we have played with efi to try and make it idle better with no advancement.
