Im modifiying a stock y bridge that has egr and putting on a 3" 45 pipe . I have a non egr y bridge and it has a some pressure sensor on it (see pic)

my 1first question is what is this sensor and do i need to add a fitting on my new pipe to put it on the new bridge?

my 2nd question is should i put in a fitting to be able to install the heater in the winter?

that is your MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor. yes you will need it in your new set up. your IAH, depends on how cold it gets in the winter. i don't use mine but i'm in cali.

Thats the MAP sensor(manifold absolute pressure)
It would be nice to have the option to use the heater in the winter, especially how cold it gets in Maine.

craig, i'm going to run a delete plug for summer and install the IAH in the winter, FWIW. looks like everything is coming together nicely for you:thumb:

As far as "necessary" I am not sure it is. We modified ours and the piece I had holding the map sensor blew out and broke off the end. Its still plugged in the harness but just lays on the engine. no codes, no issues. The only thing I could prove it did was register boost in the computer for the 29psi limit I guess. Haven't missed it or needed it. jmo.
