Hey guys I'm new to the forum and wanted to get some real opinions and suggestions from real people! I have an 04 LB7 with a magnaflow exhaust system, and have the resonator plugged. I would like to get as much whistle as you possibly can out of the LB7 and was wondering if there is anything more i can do to try to get some more out of it? Thanks

I had an AFE stage 2 intake on my 03, it made the whistle louder. I had a plastic tube, if you can get your hands on one with a metal tube I hear they sound better.

We need to invent a fake whistler for all these guys that want "as loud of whistle as I can get, I don't care if I have an open filter sucking hot air through an even hotter metal pipe". Heck just put this in your intake:

Who cares about real performance as long as it "sounds fast". Sorry but all these threads are starting to get to me if you couldn't tell.

I have both a metal tube and the ported intake inlet, mine whistles pretty good.

That is your answer right there. To make the IHI sound perfect but not obnoxious you will need a metal intake pipe like the original AFE Stage II and a ported intake horn from Michael aka Super Diesel. If you do those two things you will definitely be able to tell a difference.

Question: How is a metal intake a problem? In reality a pollished metal tube will always reject more heat than a black plastic or composite tube. :thumb:

I do agree with you about the "all bark no bite" guys. If you want a real good sounding turbo, Just slap on an s480. :D They'll hear ya comin.
