LB7: Lb7 trans rebuild upgrade?

I have a 2001 gmc 2500hd lb7 and i need a rebuild because my transmission cant hold as much hp as what my programmer is giving out causing it to go into a limp mode. All that is done to the motor that i know of is injectors gaskets and a k&n air filter. I want to get an upgraded kit but i want to get the stage 5 PPE trans kit. Will this kit affect my motor in some way because of how much hp it can give out?

The trans doesn't give out hp. What it means is that's how much it can handle from the motor. To answer your question, yes you can get it and will work fine.

Don't get the ppe. And get someone to build and tune it.
