Allison 5sp: Lb7 Trans question

I bought my truck and the guy said that it was built to hold 225 extra horspower. It is a 2001 lb7 and if I look under it I see that it has bd power pans and mag tec as well. I know that I am not giving much information but that is all I know really. I was going to see what you guys would have in mind as to what is done to it?

Start with pulling the inspection cover on the bottom of bell housing and see what color the converter is. Won't tell you much, but we might be able to at least identify what brand of converter you have.

And you can check the pressure in that port next to the filter

Other than that no one knows whats inside except for who ever did it. My guess is someone is blowing smoke up yours

Probably just put a transgo in it, and my guess would be a reman converter, maybe a lockup boost valve while they were there. But who knows without going in it and having a look see.
