LB7 piston cooling jets?

So when I took my lower oil pan off to re seal it I found 2 little tubes in the bottom of it. Everything was running fine so I just took them out and resealed it and have been driving. When I was taking apart another lb7 at school I figured out they were oil cooling jets for the Pistons does anyone know a part number for them or where I could get them at? I've looked for a while and haven't been able to find anything yet. uploadfromtaptalk1441485683351.jpg

why would you take something out if you don't know what it is?

Lucky they're lb7 pistons.

I think he was saying the tubes were sitting on the bottom of the oil pan, not that he removed them from the block. That does beg the question of how/why they ended up on the bottom of the pan...

I don't have a part number though, sorry.

well i dont know what my oil pressure is right now as the gauge does not work. this is a pickup that i bought dirt cheap needing injectors and its turned into a bit of a nightmare. I have rebuilt the injectors, replaced the turbo, trans cooler and lines, and multiple other small items that have added up to over $4500 in parts. I've been doing all the repairs myself. I need to figure out how my dads scan tool works so i can check the oil pressure I wish i had it down at school so i can use their Genisis 2

You probably should have asked about those parts before you buttoned the engine back up.
Sounds like you bought a truck that had little to no maintenance done on it during it's life and was just tossed away.

The pickup has 310k miles on it and looks almost new, the reason i didn't ask about parts is because the oil level sensor doesn't work so i just assumed these tubes were part of that. It runs awesome now that i got the injectors and turbo done. honestly with what i have into it I might just run it until something major breaks and worry about it then, I have a 2011 half ton to drive when it does take a dump on me

Oil pressure is one of the most important things to know. Use a scanner

It was just the press fit tubes that fell out, the piece that bolts in is still there, would that still cause low oil pressure? I don't think my dad's scan tool can measure oil pressure without hooking it up to the computer and paying for an upgrade in software

I think you'll be ok, IIRC there is a check valve inside the main bodies of those squirters. Wasnt it 29psi, guys?
Trouble is, you dont have any oil cooling those two pistons now.

Only way to know for sure that your oil pressure is ok is to put a gauge on it. Try to do it sooner than later.

So what else do you have to do to the truck to get it back to reliable running condition?

I believe it's 35-40 before they open. I know my gauge flutters in the 35-40 range from them opening. Most don't notice it because of how the factory gauge dampens the movement.

The gauge sits around 40 to 45 when it's running but Idk how much I trust it as it doesn't go all the way down when I shut it off.

I've put over 5000 miles on it like it sits now seems reliable enough haha

Like I said I'm pretty sure the oil pressure gauge doesn't work I need a whole new cluster as the trans temp doesn't work either. I couldn't find the parts on alldata at school either. So I went into the gm dealer in town with one of them out of my partners engine we're rebuilding at school and got all 8 of them ordered. I also ordered all 8 bolts that hold them in
