LB7 - New intake or mod the stock box?

Hey guys...i've been searching for this but can't really get anything definitive. Just wandering how good a modded stock intake box is vs. a new intake (s&b, afe, etc). I'm not gonna run really hot tunes on it as i want to keep the trans stock as long as possible..thanks

You will get better sound out of the intake but no performance gain and less filtration. I would recommend the "swiss cheese" airbox mod and save the money or put it towards something else.

However, if it was a gasser, I would recommend the mod.

bang for the buck you will see more gains with a ported intake horn or Rick's intake horn

4: Intake - A good aftermarket intake will help. I don’t care for the stock LB7 intake. I don’t care what the tests say. The dyno says my K&N FIPK made more power.
