LB7 Injector cup hole cleaning

Its a PITA isnt it:(

4th go round in as many years :(. Guy did these last heads, so this is the first time on them. The 12g. brush is what I us too, but haven't used it on a drill yet. Nothin seems to get the crud off these so far . Matter of fact, I'm having to make a .012 larger cup (in the seal area) cause when I removed in from #1 cyl. it galled on its way out :damnit:. I'm making it out of SS like the cups are already. It will be identical in every way except for the bottom where it seals (bigger there to seal the new reamed size). I wonder how many heads have been $hit canned because of this? This new motor hasn't been without it's challenges I tell ya!

We use a plumbers pipe 3/4-1" copper pipe brush for the big chunks and then a 1/4" drill rod with green scotch brite wedged into a slit in the middle on the end of a drill motor for the fine polishing.

Same for me on the green scotch brite & drill works awsome.

Don't forget to clean it really well after and don't be afraid of the red loctite. The gel stuff is pretty sweet.
Brake clean spray works best to clean it just before applying the loctite and installing the cups IMO-it gets rid of the oily residue and crap in there.
