My truck recently started slamming between 1st and 2nd and when it tries to go to 3rd it will run up to 3 grand without shifting. I have to let off the throttle briefly and slip it into 3rd, but once I'm up to speed it's smooth sailing. I recently had the driver's side battery completely disconnected and removed to change out the washer fluid tank since it had a hole in it (long story don't ask), and after doing some research I've discovered that the Allison needs to re-learn after it has been unhooked from power. Where I'm confused is I did not unhook the passenger battery so it wasn't totally without power. I tried disconnecting both batteries for about an hour earlier to reset the cel and it worked for a bit. I had my dsp5 in stock during the reset and left it there briefly after i started my test drive. As soon as I turned it back up to 50hp it started slamming again and after a shutdown and restart my CEL came back on. Now the truck is fully disconnected again. Side note- I discovered some corrosion on the pass battery hot terminal, it was kind of loose to begin with, when I unhooked it. I guess the point I'm trying to make is, can anyone confirm that what I'm experiencing is the trans relearning, and that I should leave it stock until that process is complete?
Thanks

..... That light is on for a reason. What is it?

No, that isn't normal.

TCM shouldn't go into relearn just from disconnecting the battery, need a Tech2 or V2/autocal for that (not edge's joke of a relearn)

But if it is/was in relearn, you want to drive it on the max power setting rather than have it learn stock power then turn it up.

Also, you need a decent scanner to get the TCM codes, P0700 is just a general code sent to the ECM to trigger the check engine light if that's all you pull up.

And stop clearing the code and driving it. If you have a problem, find it before you do serious damage to it. Hard shifts are bad, and many times they do damage. Find the problem before you cost yourself thousands in hard parts damage.
