Any one know if you have to remove the Water Outlet Tube to do a fuel pressure regulator replacement on a '01 LB7. If so, are there any o-rings or gaskets that need to be replaced?

I always take it off and no the t stat rings seal the t stat housing i just take the 4 bolts out instead of disturbibg the o ring,if it tears or slices you got a leak if you dont replace it.I have seen some guys do it without removing it but i think its harder

Taking the water pipe off makes a good difference in difficulty replacing the fpr.. Like the post above says. It's a pain to get that lower torx screw off. Get a good
T25 or T27. I forget, think t25. You don't want to strip it lol.

Just changed mine the other day, remove it! And take your intake horn off too it makes all the difference. It is a t-25 torx bit. The lower one wasn't the hardest for me it was the one closest to the passenger side.
