How come you have to build it? I am not real up to speed on this new age of performance products and whatnot, is there like a hp or torque limit that can be exceed with bolt on parts and computer power adders?

if you dont build the motors they eat injectors and pumps. then all they are good for is demolition derbies

With lb7s you usually bend rods around 650 rwhp or so... and lbzs usually can handle 800 or so but have weak pistons..

Um, no. Try 550rwhp on LB7/LLY (been there, done that, got the commemorative paperweights).
LBZs hopefully hold 20% more.
