Hey guys im working on building my truck for next year. My plan so far is carillo rods, mahle race cast pistons stock bore size, port and polished heads with comp cams equipment, dual fuelers, a single waste gated pedestal 371 from EPR. A lift pump, nitrous kit, and a built trans are already in. The questions i have is what injectors do i need that would be enough for that and possible twins someday and what kind of numbers can i expect with this set up. I know trent hit 800 with a 371 but idk what else he had with it.... and im ruining the fun juice in it now ;) thanks for any advice or tips... corey

Is this your only truck? If it is, you might want to think about buying another for your tow vehicle/ daily driver. These trucks are pretty amazing and can do many things well at a relatively high horsepower range but. It at the one you are shooting for. I'm sure there will be people who disagree with me and that's fine but it's just not worth it. If you make the sacrifices needed to continue to tow and daily drive your truck it will never be as good on the race track or pull track as you think it should and you will be constantly maintaining and working on it as you will break and wear things out much faster.

With that said, your current truck sounds like a blast for the street and will still do all the things you need it to. Why not find a cheap lb7 regular cab and really have some fun with it? That's what I wish I would have done instead and I still might.

I agree, think about another vehicle also unless you are not going to pull or race that truck. Cause shit is going to break at 600+ hp and you don't want to be stuck without a vehicle or have to go rent a minivan to drive around. lol

F my life. I leave Illinois and find all these nice people that have Duramax's(and tools) while I'm living in BFE Canada in an abandoned house with a dirt basement with what I'm sure is full or dead bodies. :hello::hello::eek::eek:

Just bring it down to Scott's place so you can use his lift, that way he doesn't have a chance too, haha :D:thumb:

I'll have to agree with other, get a second duramax, that way you're not rushed to get it back together. It's alot more fun if you're not rushed, I've got great experience in getting things done in a rush.:D

I think you will really thank yourself for doing this. I wish I would have just done this and even was given the same advice I gave you but was to stubborn to do it. Then I tore my truck up pushing it too hard. Live and learn I guess. Lol
