Lb7 Belt issue!

Hey guys this has happened a couple times now and is starting to really piss me off! every now and then after a nice burnout or hard pull I let off and I throw a belt. Has happened 3 times now and loosing power steering and brakes at 110mph isnt fun! Checked all pullies with a straight edge and everything is lined up good, all idler bearings are good, thinking of starting with a new oem tensioner!

Weak tensioner. Try it at 110mph some time. Been there, done that.

Yep you need a new tensioner. Get an oem one, the aftermarket ones aren't as good.

Yea did a wicked burnout the other day and i swear it almost went through the hood flex-a-lite style, will change this week and see if it helps! Will let you guys know! Thanks!

This happened to me on my 01. Pressed i back on 5 years ago and been good since.

01 trucks had a different belt routing. When i bought mine the tensioner constantly bounced. I bought a new oem one just to see it do the same thing. Never threw a belt but the newer trucks routing I know the tensioner doesn't bounce the way it's setup

So far so good on Oem tensioner, passed the burnout test today!
