Let me start by saying this forum is greàt!
It's really nice to see everyone sharing their knowledge.
The question I have for you guys is this. I checked my injector balance rates for the first time. 32k on a 2004 lb7. Probably more idle time than anything. Cylinder number 4 is on the high side at 4.5 cold and around 2.0 warm. With that said cylinder number 1 is the exact opposite with same negative numbers. These numbers were in park. All the rest were at -/+.5 . Oh and also have p0380 code, assuming its not related. Here's my concern, I need to rely on this truck for the first time in its life, pulling 15k 5th wheel on vacation with the family. What led me to checking into all this was a new noise on highway around 2000 rpms pulling slight grade. Do I jump the gun and replace injectors in fear of breaking down or am I over thinking it now. Seems to run fine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

seems you may be over thinking it at this point. try running a whole bottle of diesel kleen or some 2 stroke oil in it. i had one injector with a pretty bad balance rate and i did the DIY injector cleaning that i found on the dieselplace.com. it brought my balance rate back into check and helped the rest a little bit too.

If its not smoking at warm idle and you have no other issues I surely wouldn't replace injectors yet. 32K is super low for your year, how many hours? I have one that is +5 when cold but comes down below 3 when warm. That's with less miles than you on this set of injectors. I'd drive it across the country without hesitation.

It has 2084 hours. I've had to buddy's with LLY motors that had injectors go with less than 30k on truck, just getting nervous being I have to rely on truck now.i run BG additive every fill up and 1 quart of BGs 244 at least once a year.
