A buddy of mine has an 02 Chevy. Its popping up the low rail pressure code. Runs unloaded just fine, but pulling a trailer it dies. Any ideas of what to tell him to check. Thanks ya'll!!!
Fuel filter first. Then check rail to determine how low its dropping. Could be crap in the tank or lines, could be injectors or Cp3. Put a pressure gauge at the fuel filter housing to help narrow it down.
What does he have done to it? My Budd'ys '04 was doing the same thing while pulling or staying on the throttle long and hard, with a higher horsepower tune. All it needed was a lift pump.
As far as i know its stock. I told him to check the filter first. He said it was changed 10k miles ago. Told him that may be it. Also said to check if fuel was getting to the filter, then also to the cp3.
