Last Night Gator Hunt

break out the deep fryer and breading. time for some gator bites. yum. and about 40 belts to hold up the pants

Yes it is 12' 6" It was shot with a bow that has a parachute cord tied to a 2ft orange buoy. Once the gator is hit you throw the buoy out of the airboat and just follow the buoy around. The tricky part is when you start pulling the buoy line in!!! The little harpoon end thats on the end of the arrow shaft doesn't really hurt the gator it just pisses him off. Once you carefully bring his head to the surface you use a .45 caliber bang stick to finish him off. Gators that big aren't really good to eat b/c there really tuff. But the hyde does bring good money!!

Kurt, I'm not Dale and I don't think they have 12' gators in Canada. It was harvested on the St. Johns river here in Brevard county.
