What are you coming to do?

Will you have a car/truck to drive?

If so I recommend the south point as its close to strip but cheap for a room and very nice.

Also the M resort is a little further, but it looks to be a pretty nice place. Other than that, you have the usual strip hotels.

What he said... those places are a little ways off the strip so a LOT less traffic, but they're both nice hotels. Stayed in south Point before, they got some nice rooms.

I have stayed in the Bellagio, Ceasars Palace, The Venetian, Mandalay Bay and MGM. I liked the Venetian the best. Sweet rooms, good glass showers, good food and right in the middle of the strip. Should be some good deals this time of year.

If your going with the wife in the middle of the week. All the places on the strip will be fairly cheap. You really can't go too wrong with any of the bigger name places.

Just stay away from Excaliber and Tropicana, both have gone down hill.

Venetian is very nice and close to Ceasar's forum shops and the huge mall across from Winn. Paris is also a nice place that is a little less expensive.

Do not stay at New York New York, the rooms are noisy and the beds are crap. My wife and I loved Caesers Palace, the beds are to die for. Check out the online deals, there are lots of them right now.

I think Mirage, TI and the Hard rock all had room remodels. Hard Rock was nice, a friend stayed there and another at the Mirage. Nice set ups with nice beds and 50" tvs. TI is pretty much the same, had a nice view from the room. Seems like a lot of the older hotels are re doing all their rooms to keep up with the new hotels. And if you gamble a lot get a players card, its free. My buddy comes here twice a year and plays cheap poker for hours with his and ends up getting free once night stays here and there.
