Sad times around my house. Second time taking my 2018 2500hd in for a CEL at only 600 miles. It has the dreaded P20EE code. So far they have :
Done a regen
Drained and refilled the Def and then regen
Replaced NOX sensor
Ordered a gasket for something

No fix yet!

Lml' s often require a successful drive cycle before the code will clear or lights will go off after replacing a NOx. Do you know if they've taken it for a long ride yet?

I'm just happy that my L5p has never had a CEL come on.. I would be very tempted to sell it for a tuneable truck lol.. Good luck man

It came on at 250 miles. And again after driving about 200 miles they ordered a reduction fluid gasket today. Think they are just going to get me in a different truck. This has me all kinds of sideways.

TOTALLY understood considering the cost of one of those trucks! I'd be absolutely sick and 100% second guessing my sanity for spending that kind of coin on a truck just to have it kicking out CELs like its NBD!! :(:mad:

Update:
Dealer put me in a new truck! And it thru the same code at 194 miles! Now back in the original truck hoping the gasket fixed it. Chevy says even they don’t know how to fix.

It’s a first year truck and I’ll bet money gm pushed some things through faster than they should have. Gunna be another 1-2 years before they figure it out I’ll bet. Knowing what I know from my engineer buddy, you understand a lot of why some of this crap comes up lol

This was my thinking in buying a 16 instead of waiting a few weeks and buying a 17. I felt confident buying the last year of an engine code because they would have all the bugs worked out. Except they didn’t!!! I’ve had emissions problems with mine in Under a year of ownership. So yeah.....

Doesn't matter what you buy. Bugs are always gonna be there. Granted the first year or two is generally always a bad idea but nothing is made perfect anymore lol

I had the P20EE code twice in the first 1200 miles, then a pretty healthy coolant leak from the hose between the egr cooler & turbo. All within the first 1500 miles. I told my dealer I was done with this POS & wanted a 15 or 16 & they told me to go pound sand. Needless to say this is the last new duramax I will ever own:mad:

Me and my brother both have over 40k miles with zero problems.. I really don't think they have any more problems than previous models..

I think it's just everybody is so sensitive since it's a 'new model' that EVERY issue gets talked about and so it seems like they have a few more problems.. Lots and lots of the trucks on the road with no problems I'm sure.. Jmo

Least don't have to worry about the cp4 lol

We have 4 now in the fleet and so far only problem was the 3500 SCLB had a blown fuse from guys at dealer installing the trailer plug in bed
Mines at 13k
The tow pig is at 8k
The flatbed is at 9k
Mexican mafias truck is at 5k
The tow truck puts an average 45-55k a year on so he will be the true test
