I got the new motor for the 94 today. i went back with a gas job. its a 96 350 multi port fuel injection with 89,000 miles on it. I ordered some new rods and pistions for it and new gaskets just for cheap insuarnace that's what i will be doing this weekend.

Also i need help. The 6.5 motor is complety locked up if i take the starter out of the truck i dont beilve i will be able to turn the flexplate to get all the bolts out of that and the torque converter. I didnt get a tranny with the motor. How ever i did receive the flexplate with the motor. The tranny has a bad bellhousing where the flexplate bolt come out. My question is What can i do to get it where i can turn the flexplate to put my 4l80 tranny behind this 350. I wanna save the 4l80 thanks.

For the record, you're biting off a much bigger project than you think here...I hope you got a complete wiring harness along with the ecm for the engine.

So, what did you get here? Just an engine and transmission or what?

I guess the flex-plate comes off with the tranny bolts too? Must be one of those special tranny's with no torque converter.

Im pretty sure this wont work on your truck because i dont think u can get the oil pan off with the engine in the truck but one time on a ford van that the engine locked up on i pulled the oil pan and loosened all the main and rod bearings and got the engine to turn enough to get the TQ converter bolts out.

I'm thinking clearance issues are gonna be a problem. Pull the radiator support, grill, ect. Should make it alot easier to pull everything together.

If you can make room to slide the tranny back remove the bellhousing bolts and leave the converter attached to the flywheel. Slide the tranny off the converter. Once he tranny is out of the way re-evaluate. :D
