This is the truck I am really after now . We call him Tackleberry . You would laugh really hard if you met him . He looks exactly like Tackleberry from Police Academy movie and acts just like him . Big bow hunter and guide . Cool guy and good friend , but needs a good spankin from the kodiak . I should have never got him all powered up .

This is kodiak fetching him from the dunes a while back after right foot and ppe level 5 took out the stock trans climbing oldsmobile . Rolled 2 miles backward out of dunes .

I warned him he was going to kill that trans 4wd in the sand on level 5 ..... it did , all good now with a new Mike L. super trans . Notice its on trailer backwards . Reverse only with smoked clutchs .

His noggin is all swole up now with a trans and hot tune . The vid is same night I was racing Dan Grant with my cracked intercooler and its all fixed now with no leaks . I want a piece of the white dually . I think I can squeeze him now with cooler fixed .... maybe . Might have to wait till the turbo gets here . I have to get him at the lights though . He has been running 9.3-9.4 , but you see he Zzzzzzz's at the lights . Im counting on that .

Im easy to spot , Old guy getting love from Tackleberry and my favorite Ford guy on left in first pic. The Ford guy goes by ROLNCOAL ..... we call him NVRROLDCOAL , raced him too. He ran 9.1 but I took him to half track . He is gonna push the heads off that 6.0 with the tune he is running . I told him not to run that hot of a tune , but he didnt want to lose after all the smack he talked . Tackleberry doesnt know the edge sticker is on his truck in last pic . It was on his tailgate , but he found it . Somehow it ended up on passenger door . We really like to mess around at Truck Night with truck club . Good Group of trucks .. all brands . You always have to ck your truck for some gay sticker before leaving . :joker::laugh:

Tree'd him here , but only had 25 psi to burn the fuel . Were suppose to rematch soon .

After the ROLNCOAL red ford spanked me , he didnt know I brought out some equal 2wd dmax to take him out . I brought my daughters ex boy , I fixed him all up with trans and tune . Took out the ford before he left that night . I had back up in the lanes that night . hahahahaha

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMOOJyaymEM&NR=1

Shwacked the red ford with a lifted lb7 stock turbo with lift pump , hot tune and trans . I wasnt letting the red ford get away with putting the smack on the kodiak and leaving all happy .

Good Times we have out here in SoCal with the truck club . all brands , with usually about 20+ truck minimum showing for truck night and going on cruises . Trying to get more guys out to the track for some grudge racing fun .

Yep Thursdays 4pm and racing begins at 5pm . Getting there early you usually get many runs in before all the fart cans show up .

To me the 1/8 is good and you get alot of practice on the lights . After the 1/8 mile when racing 1/4 the truck is on auto pilot . Driver is just riding . In the 1/8 you can beat faster trucks or cars just by being good on the line , boost and launch . Leave on the last yellow . Heavy vehicles have a much better chance , especially the diesels with the torque and incredible et's in 1/8 for such a heavy vehicle . You can blast alot of cars that would take you in the 1/4 . The trucks are pushing alot of wind above 80mph in 1/4 . So putting the whoop on some fast mustangs and ricers is easier especially if you are 4wd in the 1/8 . They are coming on you hard , but you get them to the lights .

Irwindale has a muffler rule. Will they let me run straight piped , is the turbo enough or do I have to drag out my MBRP?

I'll find out what lift is on Tackleberrys truck .

The real suprise truck when we were out at the track , was the lmm kwik66 . Lifted on 37' ppe tune , stock trans , no sleeves and still laying down 9.0 's at the end of the night .

He knows he is due for a trans one of these days . Funny how much more the new trucks trans seems to take stock . He had been running this truck out at glamis with paddles all season .

The drags against the red ford .

Rolncoal is pretty cool , but it was race red ford night .

Here is Tackleberry's first attempt at 4wd drag racing . I told him to just race 2wd . After you see vid you will know why I replaced his heim joints tie rods ends . All 4 were so loose I wouldnt let him leave the other day after seeing how loose they were . It was unsafe . We went to Mckenzies offroad and replaced all 4 . $150 All good now . The vid is funny . Dan Grant got this .

I would suggest bringing it just in case...We can throw it on if they hassle you...

Ive always talked crap on 1/8 mile but Im gonna have to make it out when my motor is done :D

I'm not a big fan of it either, but like John said, we can still get some info and tree practice...

Muffler may be a small issue now I just pulled a p0380,p0101,p0303,and another p0380. Have not really run it hard lately but the periodic misfire in cylinder3 is worrisome. it happened for a minute the other day , but no code. Now today all these. I have one injector for cylinder 1 that is 6.5 in drive at idle. I am going to have to do some investigating.Any ideas would be appreciated. I wanna race thursday.

You should be fine, I've ran there among others with no mufflers. I believe that rule only applies to vehicles not equipped with a turbo.

When in tech line try not to rev it too much , they probably wont even look under truck , that is more for loud gassers no muffs . Turbo is like a muffler in itself and makes the trucks quiet at idle for the most part . They dont even expect or look under the new trucks for mufflers usually .

The ROLNCOAL red ford was in my driveway all afternoon and evening . We were making and welding some trac bars and trying to get rid of that terrible axle wrap on the ford . Came out pretty sweet . It hooks good now without wheel hop . Went for some test rides and it definately helped out alot .

It was ford night at my house . Garrett / SspeedemonsS was over also taking turns welding under truck . We cranked it out though . Then the payment for driveway time ...... Sushi :D

The Ford and Dodge guys have started to grow on me .... plus they need thier trucks fixed alot .

Funny I am always helping my competition make thier trucks faster than mine . Tackleberry called to come over , his rear axle was loose and leaking again . Just fixed that damn thing . I know what I am doing today I imagine . Suppose to be doing my diff , and keep getting sidetracked fixing others instead of mine . Yep Tackleberry just showed up ... damn axle is loose . Hmm ... I tightened the crap out of it . Maybe the axle is bent or something . Didnt get the bolts tight enough obviously .

Ya Tom , definately young at heart and wrinkled and grey on the outside . :violin: I keep hearing .... you need to grow up ..... why the hell would I want to do that is my response . What fun would that be .

Rain ..... usually means kodiak fun time after truck night . So head to the house and unhook the trailer .

This is too much fun to grow up . Good fun in the rain with 500hp and a truck that likes to be sideways all the way down the street . Damn kids are corrupting me . or maybe I am corrupting them . :joker:

Somebody has to entertain the youngsters . :cool2: If you could only hear the guys in my truck giggling like little girls ... similar to the ones on video .

Good Times here in SoCal . :thumb: The Truck Club and the friends made there from the forums has been some of the best fun in years .

How to get kicked out of the Offroad Expo at Pomona Fairgrounds in 5 seconds of fun ..... come on Johnny show us some smoke .... OK ...... Oh chit to much boost ... tire spin .... Utt oh hear comes security .

Security didnt think this was too funny . We had Adolf Hitler I take my job way to serious security going ballistic on me .

Got my walking papers ...... or more like " Get Out " and dont come back ....

And the ... " You need to grow up " Tried to tell him it was an accident ... but he didnt go for it . :joker:

If you look closely I am on really dark pavement , it is the Pomona Police high speed test coarse pavement . Whats the chance I lined up on that . They called in the big boss man and were trying to say I would have to repave it . The big boss came over and laughed and said get out of here you ding a lings . He thought his security force was a bit over reative and thought the kodiak was cool . Whewwww , I was nervous for a second , thinking they were bringing in the Pomona PD and chit was going to suck , and be repaving the coarse .

Come on out . Dont have a spare room , but you should come play out here .

You know where I live . Come out anytime . Youd fit right in with all the chit talkers in the club . Bring it out when its finished .

Truck Night is 1st and 3rd fridays of the month . Irwindale is Thurday nights , gates open at 4pm and racing starts at 5pm . $20 to race .

For the last 3 months the truck club ends up on the top of Ortega Hwy look out after AutoBacs parking lot . Been getting back around 4am on the norm . Usually about 150+ miles on my truck at least after nights over . We lose half the crew early usually . End up with about 10-15 trucks at Ortega and then usually 5 diehards in the end . Funny too . The ford guys and dodge guys hang tough usually later then the chevy guys .:D

A really good mix of trucks lately . A few fast fords and dodges . Mostly just mild powered trucks in club though . Trans and mild tunes .
