I have never seen a set, but read in another thread, that they will flow more and are less restrictive.....

I have MPI twins (so no downpipe in the way) and a BD manifold...my motor is in the process of being built,so it would be a good time to do this, if it is beneficial.....any thoughts?

Yes they are larger . ? is if they will fit near firewall . You also need the kodiak manifolds to go with them . The manifold has the 90 at back of motor then the flange for up pipe . The pipes are straight with one 90 for going into pedistal . Not sure if this makes a difference on firewall clearance . But manifolds needed also with kodiak up pipes .

Does the driver side 4500 manifold have the indent that the 2500's have? I got a big hammer that can solve the firewall clearance issues:D

No indent that I see on my drivers side manifold . My steering column is far away from manifold .

There are 2 sets of up pipes for these trucks also . 1 set with egr tube off passenger side up pipe for Emission trucks and 1 for Federal with no EGR tube at all . If you end up with emission up pipe you can cut off egr pipe and weld shut with a plug .

I left my egr pipe blocked off with a plate just in case I ever needed to put EGR back on . PPE made me a thick plate with 2 mounting holes for pipe and 2 holes for block to support pipe . Ive thought about cutting it off and welding it shut .

Tap it and you have a drive pressure or EGT bung

Thanks for the info:thumb:

You will need alot of clearance to run that Kodiak passenger side riser. Not sure if you could get a downpipe to fit unless you cut the firewall up.

My down pipe is not over there:), Now would anyone happen to have a federal emissions part # for manifolds and up pipes or at least the which model year was non EGR...Thanks

Unless my tape has failed me, I don't think they are any bigger. They have smoother bends, not necked down in the bellows, and more cast in the journey to the turbo which should transfer the heat a bit better.

For the money, a gain no doubt, by the time you talk of up-pipes and a BD manifold......you end up way ahead of the game.

Yes they will fit, close on the driver side firewall.

These are for NON-EGR.

Do you think any of this stuff is worth spending money on? I would like to get ricks pipes and a bd manifold but could I spend $700 in other places you know.
