Well driving home tonight on the freeway I noticed my truck sounding a little different than normal, well when i got off the freeway and it went to an idle it sounded horrible, sounded like a nasty knock with a grinding noise but as soon as you start to put a load on it, it goes away... It seems to still be good on power, coolant and oil look normal and are full. I'm not positive where to start, don't internal problems usually go along with the rpms?

Not always.... Check and make sure the balancer is not wobbling. Cut the oil filter that should tell the tale of what's going on.

Just pointing out the irony.

Also to make a this a somewhat useful post, even if the bolts are just loose it's a good idea to replace the flex plate.
