I'm assuming the Kenwood DNX9960 is the latest and greatest from Kenwood?

Any other suggestions I should look at for replacing Wendy's stereo/nav?

Thanks Guys

The Alpine also seems easier to use and screen is a little bit bigger. I'm not replacing the headrest DVD's in the back since the kids now have I-phones and Pat bought the I-pad 2 so they can also watch movies on that :thumb:

Ive had kenwood, clarion, alpine, no name off brands and pioneer. Ive had the least trouble with pioneer. Only had one quit working, and it was about 12 years old in a farm truck and ran in the dust every day of its life. IMO pioneer packs more sound tayloring functions into its decks than any other brand in each facet of price range. If you are an audiophile like i am, the more control over your audio the better. But to each his/her own. :thumb:

I've also had them all and my vote goes to Kenwood. Maybe it's just the model but the Alpine I had although loaded with features sucked, sorry. Clarion I had a front channel go out on me and Pioneer although good is IMO to generic. Kenwood just seems to have the most power and bang for your buck.

Here is what is most important to me.

Ease of use esp. with the I-phone
Nav system

The last year or so the Kenwood was having some issues. It's screen calibration was off. I had a hard time actually typing address in. It would also freeze up at the most inopportune time. Causing me to miss exits. I would actually have pull off the freeway turn the truck off and let it turn back on.

Since I run parts for the shop there are a lot times I have no clue where I'm going.

Kenwoodforums.com has some good info on both units Kat. Really though, I didn't have any problems with my 3rd Gen iPod (old I know) or my iPhone 4. I would assume most manufactures are really aware that the iphone/ipod must work as MOST people own them.. or you would think they would care.

This is what insurance replaced mine with recently........I like it a lot better than the older Kenwood that was in it before, sound quality and nav seem a lot cleaner (better) with this unit
