is it wise to put a K&N air filter on a 2007 GMC Duramax??

Some guys like them, some say the factory Donaldson filter flows more than enough for 500hp? I know the K&N style filters always screw up MAF up, you need to make sure you clean it after oiling your K&N.

Ya I Run A K&N Cone On My Intake ... But I Just Clean It ... Never Oil It ... Flows Great :thumb:

I personally don't like them on anything but a older carburated gas motor. Also, chevytuf01 if you don't oil a K&N it is'nt filtering anything...
