So I have the kennedy dual's. What if I threw another one in there and made it a triple? Would that work? Because he says in his little description things, that if you do one you get like 8 psi, and if you do two you get like 12 psi (I dont remember the exact numbers but you get the idea). So if I put another on there would I get 16 PSI?

I have wondered the same thing but for my SuperDiesel Carter single setup....with a full tank of fuel i see 8psi, with less than a 1/4 tank i see more like 4 psi. I have a LBZ pump currently that is supposed to be able to see more pressure at the inlet than a LB7 pump. so could I add another Carter or 2 to feed more....safely?

Still have to go thru the FICM on LB7/LLY, LBZs don't have them. You could push 100psi to the CP3 if you wanted to but would have to route around the FICM or amplify pressure after it like the MITUSA.

So would the short answer be no? Or it would work if I did routed past the FICM (and by the way that is the Fuel Injection Control Module correct?)?

You could run another one off of hobbs switch to come in at a set boost when the other 2 get drawn down at WOT. Would have to run a regulator before the FICM to keep it from exceeding 12psi.

why not just put a small lift pump and just run fuel through FICM just to keep it cool and run a higher psi lift pump to the cp3 couldnt this work just a thought

I am pegging my 15psi gauge at idle and low RPM on my LB7 and its still going through the FICM. So it could be higher than 15psi easily. IIRC lowest pressure i get was 7-8 psi @ WOT. Love this pump! The FICM did start leaking but i pulled it out and found the case screws were loose, so i tightened them and has been all good! I had heard from some that over 10psi the FICM gets cranky and makes a funny idle. Mine does this but it could be my modded FCA causing this? So ultimatly, one of many small test/projects im wanting to do here soon is a separated FICM cooling system. This way, the FICM dosent heat the fuel more, can run plenty of PSI to the CP3. Eric Merchant did tell me that too much CP3 inlet psi could blow out the front seal of it, so be mindful? That would be a quick ticket to a crankcase full of diesel!

From my experience the FICM will handle 14psi for years.

I dont see how it could effect it? LLY ficm has a 3/8"ID pipe cast into the ficm case, Nothing is connected or comunicates with the wire or computer board:confused:

maybe the wifes tale is from a lb7:confused:

pushing the lil spring on the regulator open

I think its the FCA and the high psi exacerbates it somewhat to. Thinkin LLY and LB7 FICM's must be fairly diff beeings mine leaked and tightening the case screws stopped it. Dosent really bother me, could care less, long as it dosent strand me. Like i said, a separate cooling sys. for it is in order along with some other small mods here soon!

I don't want a MITUSA because it takes up pulley room if i ever do a dual CP3. I also was wondering if there is a way to eliminate the FICM on an LB7? and if not, i would simply run my lift pump outlet line all the way to post-oem filter?
