The only chips in the eye I have seen in our machine shop is people that were wearing safety glasses.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying don't wear them

If stuff takes the right bounce there is nothing you can do.

I've been down this road a few times. Avoid the ER next time and go to your clinic. Faster service without all of the mickey mouse insurance robbing tests.. :)

You are an old codger and you need to cut that macho shit out.
I have hurt myself worse at home than the shop. I have become a master at wrapping a nasty cut that would normaly require stiches. Get some goggles Trent. hope you are ok.:D

Never had metal in my eyes but I was breaking a bearing three years ago at work and it shattered and I got a chip of greased up bearing race lodged in my cheek. It was no fun, It is a very weird feeling having metal removed from under your skin with the doc using a very strong magnet.

i know being stuborn and not going to the doc is why it rusted , superglue works the best on a good cut :D but electrical tape and a shop rag does the job as well .

Yep porting on a set of 990 heads (cast iron) and had safety glasses on got a peice of that in my eye that made a rust ring, had to get the ring taken out 4 months later. But I also have burnt my eye's really bad and I would rather have somthing in my eye any day then burn them agin.
