Nice. I'm waiting on an '06 from one of my dads friends. He's looking at a new one soooo! I'm 1st in line. And I'm the one who cleans it, so I know what I'm getting.

The C5 Corvette is still a major player in club level roadracing and AutoX. It could be argued that it was first mass-produced "supercar". IIRC, the top speed was 179mph, (175 for the Z06, gearing limited. Nice to bounce off the rev limiter a buck-seventy-five).

When you get bored, get it up on a lift and look at the suspension. Traverse-mount glass mono-leaf that can be adjusted in minutes with one wrench. Twin forged alum wishbone. Rear mount transmission. Torque Tube driveline.

where can i get a tune for it?

you guys think it would be safe to do it over the internet or take it and have it live tuned?

Take it to a REPUTABLE Corvette Shop,Money well spent because tuner will be able to monitor changes and effects, thus tuning perfectly the 1st time. I know from experience and the money that I thought to have saved cost me 10x over because the programmer could not see all the parameters. I had to drive 350 miles to a Reputable Tuner with both A dyno and seat time to make this thing run again.
