damnit i need twin cp3s to but no money money is going to get new motor to rebuild stronger first
Install took about 4 hours this afternoon.Everything seemed to mount up well and looks real nice in there.But when hooking up the positive wire the wrench arked out and now it will not start when turning the key.Was able to start by jumping the relay in the main fuse box,but keep getting a code saying lost communication with the tcm.
.Tried clearing the code but still no go.Even went back and unpluged everything then plugged back in.Has anyone else ever had any problems like this?

Did you try clearing the codes with the engine in run posistion and not started? For some reason thats the way I have to clear some specific codes now
Went through all the fuses twice this morning and tried to clear the codes a couple times but they just come back.From there we went borrow a tcm from a buddy and that fixed everything.So we located a new one and installed it and now it starts, but found out that it has to be programmed to match the truck vin and efi live just cant do that.Tomorrow we have some one coming over with a tech 2 and hopefully that will do it. Cant wait to just be able to drive it again.
could be wrong but why does it need to be programmed for the vin, why not flash in the o/s that you want to run?
Tried that a few times but did not work,I think they come with just enough in them to start the truck.I guess gm wants you to have to pay them some how or another for labor.
Had some one here all day trying to fix this tcm problem with a tech 2 hooked up to the gm tis system and still no goOnly thing we can figure out is that the dealer sold us a tcm for a lmm instead of for a lbzHave to wait until Monday to try to get another one.Boy this sure sucks.

Finally got a tcm that worked in the truck.Was finally able to drive the truck again,and love it,cant wait to get back to the track and see what kind of difference it will make in track times.
