So I'm in the middle of rebuilding my fuel system after my CP4 grenaded on me 4th of July weekend and could really use some advice. I have the Fleece CP3K kit on order and think I'm pretty good with that install but the injectors have me kinda nervous. Does anyone have any tips in pulling the injectors on LMLs or any suggestions for tools to make it any easier? Also I am thinking about just cleaning all the injector lines out and reusing then but replacing the rails. Is this advisable or should I replace everything?

Will need an injector puller, Snap On, or Kent Moore.

I have a used set of fuel rails with 20k on them. Vehicle was totaled. They where on a 2012 Chevy van Duramax. Parts numbers for the rails are the same for a 2012 Silverado. They would come with the sensors still installed. If your interested let me know.

The removal tools are worthless if the injector is stuck... They should pull out by hand with a little twisting action. I have broke the Kent-moore tool on stuck injectors. The best way to remove a stuck one is to get a cheap slide hammer, a impact universal, and a lug nut from a 01-10 8 lug GM (not sure if the thread is the same on the 11+ trucks?) thread the lug nut onto the injector after you remove the High pressure line. I think you can get al of the above tools from Harbor freight for under 20 bucks.

I would clean the rails and lines but that's me... Take them apart completely and use some new gun cleaning brushes, lots of brake clean and some compressed air.

That was exactly my plan I was going to use a 22 cal bore snake if it would fit.

My education stopped at CP3's.

Are the CP4's aluminum body? The CP3's are build like tanks, so when I would blow one up, they would just push the guts out the freeze plugs in the CP3 block.
